So today’s subject is, ‘Whom should we love?’ We should love God. Remain in any form or religion you like. The highest aim of all religions is to see God, and that you can do only in the man-body and nowhere else. It is a mater of seeing, not of emotions, feelings or drawing inferences, which are all subject to error. Seeing is above all. We can achieve this ideal in the man-body only. We are blessed in having the man-body. For that very purpose, we have joined so many schools of thought, but where do we stand? That’s the point. So we must make the best use of the man-body that we have got, with the grace of God. If an animal, whose head God has made downwards, always remains enjoying the downward things, that’s all right. You are a man after all; look above.”
(Sant Kirpal Singh Ji Maharaj. “Morning Talks”. Ruhani Satsang. Pp. 74-75)
Note:: “man-body” is Sant Kirpal Ji’s term for the human body; it is not gender specific.
Please take Sant Kirpal’s words to heart. Above all we should worship and have our attention fixed upon God. And we start by placing our attention upon someone in the human form in whom God is manifest. We do this not to create a cult of personality around an awakened person, but because we can only truly love that which is tangible, that which we can see. And through our love for the God-in-Man, we are lifted up by Shabad Naam into the Pure Positive God Worlds so that we may directly experience both ourselves as Soul, and God ITSelf. This is a beautiful thing about this path. We are not asked to take another’s word for it, or draw inferences about Soul and God. We are given the tools here, in the human form, to enable us to directly, personally see and experience the Eternal One.
So please, always remind yourself that this is a path of Divine Love. Love your fellow human beings – love God expressing ITSelf through them – and love God ITSelf. The more you do this, the more your love and devotion will open you up to Naam, which will in turn absorb you into ITSelf and take you home to Sach Khand and Radhasoami Anami Desh – the Ocean of Love and Mercy. And this is a very great blessing indeed.
In the LightSong of Eternal Love,
I am with you always.
