In reality, Divine Love is amazingly strong. In fact it is strengthening, because the Spiritual Current of Divine Love is the core building block of all that is. Every molecule, every atom, every electron, every positron, even the vacuum of space is made up of this energy force. I use the term “energy force” because it's a term that people can understand. The Spiritual Shabda Current actually precedes energy. IT precedes thought. IT precedes emotion. IT is always flowing, always ongoing, always uplifting. IT does not know hatred. IT does not know enmity. IT does not know fear. IT only knows love – infinite, eternal, golden love.

"How should the soul not take wings
when from the Glory of God It hears a sweet, kindly call: 'Why are you here, soul? Arise!' How should a fish not leap fast into the sea from dry land when from the ocean so cool the sound of the waves reaches it How should the falcon not fly back to his king from the hunt When from the falconer's drum it hears the call: 'Oh, come back' Why should not every Sufi begin to dance atom-like Around the sun of duration that saves from impermanence What graciousness and what beauty? What life-bestowing! What grace! If anyone does without that, woe what err, what suffering! Oh fly , oh fly, O my soul-bird, Fly back to your primordial home! You have escaped from the cage now Your wings are spread in the air Oh travel from brackish water now to the Fountain of Life! Return from the place of the sandals now to the high seat of souls! Go on! Go on! We are going and we are coming, O soul From this world of separation to union, a world beyond worlds! How long shall we here in the dust-world like children fill our skirts with earth and with stones without value with broken shards without worth? Let's take our hand from the dust grove, Let's fly to the heavens high Let's fly from our childish behavior and join the banquet of men Call out, O soul, to proclaim now that you are ruler and king! You have the grace of the answer You know the question as well!" - Rumi In the LightSong of Eternal Love, Have a glorious day! Michael http://spiritualfreedomsatsang. org - Blog Dear Friends:
As some of you may know, a few years ago I was diagnosed with head and neck cancer. Fortunately the chemotherapy and radiation treatments worked, and I am happily alive and as well as can be expected (which is pretty darn good). On the downside, my illness and subsequent treatments have resulted in me living and supporting my family on a fixed subsistence income. While this is enables me to care for my family, it’s not enough to underwrite Spiritual Freedom Satsang’s expenses. These SFS expenses – which a are modest $120.00 per mont h – include keeping our website up and running, paying for bank and PO box fees, office supplies, filing annual corporate papers with the State of Nevada, and arranging meeting rooms for Satsangs and seminars (libraries in our area charge $20 for meeting room space). I am asking you – my friends – to help me raise money to keep Spiritual Freedom Satsang operating. You can help in one or more of the following ways: 1. DONATIONS: You can help by making a regular monthly donation through Paypal on this website. The amount doesn't matter - $5.00 a month is fine. Any assistance or service you provide is very gratefully appreciated. 2. E-BOOKS: Go to http://Amazon.com and buy one of my Kindle e-books, and encourage your friends (including on Facebook) to buy them as well. 3. SATSANG CD’S: I have several Satsangs available on CD – and more will come coming soon. 4. BE LOVE Shirts and Bumper Stickers. “Be Love” is the mission statement for SFS. It is the foundation of what we are, and what this path has always been about. Purchases of cd’s, shirts and other materials – as well as links to my e-books – and donations can be made through PayPal at our SFS Website: http://spiritualfreedomsatsang.org/books--cds.html PayPal notifies me of your orders as soon as they are made, and I fill them right away. I want you to know, I will always offer Surat Shabda Initiation, meditation instruction and personal counseling for free, as I always have. I do it for free, because that is what feels right to me. God’s love is free, and the gift of Shabda should be free as well. Words cannot convey how grateful I am for your contributions and support. It is you who make Spiritual Freedom Satsang what it is and give our community life. In the LightSong of Eternal Love, Thank you . . . from my heart of hearts . . . with love, Michael Turner SPIRITUAL FREEDOM SATSANG http://spiritualfreedomsatsang.org/books--cds.html "You mustn't be afraid of death
You're a deathless soul you can't be kept in a dark grave You're filled with God's glow Be happy with your beloved You can't find any better the world will shimmer because of the diamond you hold When your heart is immersed in this blissful love you an easily endure any bitter face around In the absence of malice There is nothing but happiness and good times don't dwell in sorrow, my friend" - Rumi In the LightSong of Eternal Love, Have a Beautiful Day! Michael http://spiritualfreedomsatsang.org - Blog "Every one is so afraid of death
But the real sufis just laugh. Nothing tyrannizes their hearts. What strikes the oyster shell does not damage the pearl" - Rumi Yours in the LightSong of Eternal Love, Michael http://spiritualfreedomsatsang.org - Blog "(S)tudents learn to leave their bodies much in the same way a dying man leaves his house, except the neophyte does it voluntarily and the process is always under his control, and he can come back into the body at any moment he wishes to return. Otherwise, his passing out of the body is practically yet same as that of a dying man. He understands what death means and what lies beyond death He may even become acquainted with the astral home to which he is to go when he finally takes leave of his physical body."
(Darwin Gross. "Your Right To Choose". Pp 102-103) The primary focus of Shabda Meditation is transcending death while still living. Indeed, it is one of the cornerstones of this form of meditation and has been taught by every Surat Shabda Teacher from the dawn of humankind. St. Paul said, “I die daily”, and a multitude of masters – recently including Charan Singh called it “dying while living” and Kirpal Singh referred to it as “above-body consciousness”. Darwin Gross teaches us that through harmonizing our attention with the Shabda, we are lifted up above body consciousness. We learn to consciously shift our attention from the physical body, into inner dimensions, from the Astral Plane on up through the causal and mental planes, until we reach the Soul Plane and the Pure Positive God Worlds. In Christian parlance, this could be described (and has been, in TV shows such as “I Survived . . . Beyond and Back”) as directly experiencing the Kingdom of Heaven while still alive. This has numerous benefits, perhaps the most tangible being that we directly experience ourselves as soul - an eternal unit of attention that inhabits and cares for a physical body (and astral, causal and mental garments), but is independent of it. We learn that we are a soul and we have a body. This is incredibly liberating. We are freed from the fear of death, and become happier, more radiant people day by day. This deep abiding peace, joy and liberation is a tangible benefit from practicing Surat Shabda Meditation, and a gift God offers us all in this lifetime. Thank you . . . with love, Michael http://spiritualfreedomsatsang.org - Blog "The art of dying can be practiced daily as you already do, by passing the gates of death on the inner planes by voluntary effort."
(Paul Twitchell. "Dialogues With The Master". IWP 1970/1977. Pg. 207) Here we have another Shabda teacher - Paul Twitchell - saying the same thing that his teacher, Kirpal Singh taught him, as did Charan Singh and Sawan Singh - and St. Paul long ago. We can learn to voluntarily and consciously detach our attention from our physical bodies while we are still conscious and alive. Saint Paul called this "dying while living". This allows us to consciously experience that, while we inhabit our physical bodies, we are not those bodies. It also helps us consciously, tangibly understand that when our physical bodies cease to function, we still exist as souls - individual units of pure eternal conscious love. This gives us a sense of freedom that we have never before known and can lead us to embrace life fully without a subconscious fear of mortality hanging like a sword of Damocles over our heads. And that is an incredible gift. In the LightSong of Eternal Love, May the Blessings Be! Michael http://spiritualfreedomsatsang.org - Blog "We have only to attach the soul to the Word . . . and everything is virtually accomplished. The soul will then in due time leave the body and rise to the higher Heavenly Realms, even while we are still living in the human body here on earth. This is what the apostle Paul meant when he said that heaven is gained by 'dying daily'. For the process by which the soul rises up to the higher worlds during spiritual meditation is precisely the same as that by which the soul leaves the body at the time of death."
(Sawan Singh. "Discourses on Sant Mat". RSSB. Pg. 71) Thank you . . . with love, Michael http://spiritualfreedomsatsang.org - Blog "Saint Paul said, 'I die daily.' In meditation, we withdraw our consciousness to the eye center in the same way that we all die when death comes. First the feet become numb, then the legs, and slowly and slowly the whole body becomes numb. When the soul withdraws from the nine apertures and comes to the eye center, it leaves the body. To die daily means to practice the withdrawal of the consciousness to the eye center every day. That is why meditation is known as 'dying daily'."
(Charan Singh. "Die To Live". RSSB. Pb. 149) In the LightSong of Eternal Love, Be Amazing! Michael http://spiritualfreedomsatsang.org - Blog "If, during our lifetime, we travel the path which we have to traverse after death, then death loses its terror for us. It is the object and goal of human life to take the soul to the region whence it originally descended. Thus the soul is liberated from the cycle of births and deaths."
