“Jivas of the third category join the Satsang of Sants with some ulterior object or under some pressure. They engage in devotional activities out of fear, greed, attachment or in rivalry with others.
Although their fear, greed or love is worldly with some worldly end in view, yet on attending Satsang for some time, associating with devotees and engaging in Seva (selfless service) along with them, they attract grace, and in turn Parmarthis. Parmathis’ fear and love, and desire for Parmarth (spiritual truth) are engendered in their hearts. Thus, they too begin to act sincerely as true Parmarthis and develop faith and regard for Parmarth.
But the people of this category find it difficult to make headway in their Parmarth. Because, for a considerable time, in the beginning, their activities are tinged with worldly ends (Swarth). By listening, however, to discourses, and receiving the help of loving devotees and the grace of the Sant Sat Guru, the real meaning dawns on them. Then their worldly inclinations and tendencies are transformed into Parmarthi ones. From that time onwards, their activities are considered to be pure Parmarthi, and in consequence, pure and unalloyed love for the Holy Feet of the Supreme Being Radhasoami Dayal is generated in their heart. As they go on getting recognition of true Parmarth and of the Sant Sat Guru and the supreme Being Radhasoami Dayal, their love and faith goes on increasing. Then Saran is strengthened , so that they easily attain true salvation.”
